Why get treatment?
The body is great at healing itself, but often it needs
some help. Not only does the injured joint itself benefit
from treatment but so do any resulting compensations for
the original injury.
For
example, a knee or ankle injury can cause the sufferer to
put more weight on the other leg. Not only can this create
problems with the good leg or in the lower back, but reduced
use of the affected side can lead to reduced mobility in
the injured joint - even when the pain has gone. This helps
set the scene for recurrent injury.
